Personal Opinion:
If you don't know who Stephen Chow is, then you probably don't know how funny he is. He is my favorite Chinese actor of all times. I have watched all of his movie and Kung-Fu Hustle is probably one of his best movies. If I have to describe how awesome and funny this movie is, I probably have to write an essay to describe it. So just trust me, download and watch this movie, you won't regret it.

A very good movie with many surprising and funny moments (I love the birthday part). I like the plot, very surreal. I highly recommend this movie even though it is quite old.

Personal Opinion:
The plot of this movie is very interesting, it's not a common plot that you have seen in most Asian movies nowadays. There are a few cruel fighting scenes throughout the movie, so if you don't like blood or a faint-hearted individual, I would not recommend this movie. But overall, i would definitely give this movie a try.

Some of the frequent questions that I receive through emails are listed below. If you have any other questions that are not listed, please post your questions here since I can no longer check my email frequently.

1. How do I download movies here?

- Most of the movies are divided into parts and uploaded to two main file hosting websites - megaupload and depositfiles. You must download all parts and use programs such as Winrar to extract the files in order to play them. Please check the useful tools to download Winrar

2. How do I play subtitles?

- In order to view subtitles (often .srt or .idx format), the subtitle files must be in the same folder and have the same name as the video files. You can use VLC player to automatically play the subtitles. To use Windows Media Player, you need to install a separate program called Vobsub (check useful tools for link) in order to view the subtitles. For your convenience, I already edit the subtitle name and movie files to be the same and place them in the same folder so you should be able to play the subtitles easily.

3. Can you upload files to different hosting services?

- There are several free hosting services, however I choose Megaupload and Depositfiles because I have premium accounts with these two services which makes it easier for me to organize and upload my files. I am sorry but I will not upload to other websites. Viewers are more than welcome to upload files to other hosting websites and share them here.

4. I can't extract files after downloading all parts?

- If you download all parts and receive errors while extracting them, maybe one of the parts is corrupted. Identify the corrupted parts and download them again.

5. Can I download and extract different parts from different hosting servers?

- These parts are interchangeable which means you can download one from megaupload, one from depositfiles and extract them. I upload the same files, just to different hosting websites.

Soo-Jin, a young news reporter, takes a break from her job by indulging in one of the finest of Korean street vendor delicacies - the skewered fish sausage (odang). While talking on her cellphone and eating the skewered fish sausage, Soo-Jin is in for a rude awakening of sorts. A cop named Jae-Hyuk is frantically chasing a drug dealer on foot when he inadvertently crashes into Soo-Jin. The skewered fish sausage becomes lodged into Jae-Hyuk’s abdomen.
To make matters worse, Jae-Hyuk suffers from an acute fear of sharp pointed objects. He finds it difficult to even look at a fork or knife and was barely able to get into the police department because of his phobia. When Jae-Hyuk sees the fish sausage lodged into his abdomen he passes out immediately. Soo-Jin causes a minor storm by reporting this incident on her television show and on the Internet.
Thus the romance between Soo-Jin and Jae-Hyuk begins.

How to play a subtitile with VLC player

Lately, I've been getting emails asking me how to play a movie with subtitle (extension .srt) with a video player. There are two ways:

1. Windows Media Player: first you have to download Vobsub and install this program. Then, put the subtitle file and the video file in the same folder. Once they are in the same folder, just double click the video file to play the movie, the subtitle will be played automatically.

2. VLC: different from Windows Media Player, when you use VLC, the subtitle file doesn't have to be in the same folder as the video file. But to make it easier, I recommend you to have both of the files in the same place. First, download and install VLC player (you can find it in the useful tools section in the side bar). Then double click the VLC icon, then click "File", then choose "Open File" or "Ctrl-F". First, choose the video file you want to open, then check the "Use a subtitles file". Then click ok.

I prefer to use Windows Media Player to play the subtitle because it's easier to control with Vobsub. But sometimes, when you can only use VLC to play the video part, then you can use the second method to play the subtitle. I hope this helps you guys and enjoy more upcoming movies.

The truth behind BP factory in Whiting, Indiana

Last week, my uncle was driving us to Six Flags, and all of a sudden, he ran out of gas so he stopped at a gas station to fill up the tank. When he came inside the car, he was mumbling in an angry tone about high gasoline prices. He always have negative attitude towards all the oil companies because he thinks that they raise the prices to make money of consumers. But I believe that such an renowned and loyal company like PB, a raise of price is just an inflation, nothing more and nothing less. And here is the truth behind BP factories.

BP is the only company in the market that is committed to minimizing the environmental impact of their actions. Recently, the Chicago Tribune wrote an article about a BP Factory in Whiting, Indiana but they misrepresented and left out some important facts. According to the article, the factory released what they identified as "sludge" into Lake Michigan, but what is actually released from the refinery is more than 99.9% water which is treated water that met with the state and federal requirements and never discharged into the Lake. Second of all, BP factory in Whiting produces a huge amount of gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel that people need for their daily activities and machines.
And one of the most important facts that the article did not mention is this particle refinery is a large window to employment for more than 1,700 employees and more than 1,500 contract workers. The planned modernization will create new job opportunities for about 2,000 contract workers during peak construction as well as 80 PB full-time employees upon completion.

It was the summer, I was eight years old at the time. It was also the first time I set foot in a small and poor village in Vietnam. The people were very friendly here, as well as superstitious. They worship many different gods and express their gratitude by placing many delicious food in the temple. I would never understood what the point of doing that until something scary happened to me one night. I was sitting in front of the porch, watching the moon and trying to catch some breeze to cool down the humidity inside my body. Suddenly, I saw something floating in the air, kinda looked like a shirt. I thought the wind probably blew off someone's shirt from their yard so I tried to follow it to catch it and return it to the owner. The shirt kept floating in the air and flying toward the temple, it finally stopped and flew inside the temple. Believe it or not, I walked into the temple and searched for it but it was no where to be found, the temple was so small but how could I missed the shirt. I asked the villagers in the morning, and they said that wasn't a shirt I saw, it was the spirit of one of the gods, he was visiting the temple to eat and rest. Luckily for me, he didn't see me at all. Until today, I still couldn't believe what I saw that day, but it was scary to think of it now.
In relation to my story, 1408 Movie is a great movie about the supernatural hotel room of number 1408. If you notice, 1+4+0+8=13, a very unlucky and bad number according to Asian belief. Well, I did some research and found some information about this movie. Here is the trailer:

Sang-ho (Jeong Gyeong-ho) isn't the type to take kindly to bullies, and when formidable thug Hong-gyu begins pushing around a close friend he uses his fists to show his disapproval. When peacemaker Jae-gu (Lee Tae-seong) shows up on the scene, the brawling teens decide to set their differences aside and combine forces to form a school gang they dub The Tigers. I personally enjoyed this movie a lot because it's not only a hilarious one, but the two main characters are really funny to watch, and Kim Jung Eun looks absolutely beautiful in this one. Jung Jun Ho, from my favorite movie, My boss My hero, is fantastic in this movie. This is a must see movie.

I was so suprised to see the poster of "Goong" in my Yahoo page today, it's now 1:32AM but I couldn't just go to sleep after seeing the article. I am really happy that Asian movies are finally being noticed for their unique and difference. Those who hallyu know of what we speak. Soaps have been the latest tsunami in the South Korean pop culture wave, and searchers have been intimate with past telenovelas like "My Name is Kim Sam Soon," "Princess Lulu," "Winter Sonata" and "Jewel in the Palace."

Now, a year after after its original airing, TV dramedy "Princess Hours," based on the ongoing comic "Goong," has returned to swamp the Buzz, with enraptured fans in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and Chicago pushing the show into the top 350 searches. Lasting a mere 24 episodes, the drama reimagines a present in which royal line didn't end with Japanese colonization. Not everyone may be a fan, but most agree that the dramedy reeks of cutesy stars and big-budget glam opulence.

The show was made to appeal to Japanese audiences, according to Yonhap News, but "Princess Hours" has been a global phenom. DVD/VCD sales have blown past the quarter-million mark, even as it airs in wider Asian and American markets. With its availability in an American-compatible DVD format (a first for a Korean telenovela), English-speakers can now understand the Crown Prince's pain when he tells Chae-kyeong, "Watching you sit and ask for forgiveness there, it'd make me want to puke."

Anticipation and searches are already up for the sequel—another first for a Korean soap —called "Prince Hours." Meanwhile, some of us are just waiting for the MadTV spoof.

Performancing - an ultimate blogging tool

For those who blogs regularly, Performancing is a very convenient and easy-to-use tool. All you have to do is to add your blogs, and with a single click from your browser's sidebar, you can blog at anytime or anywhere you want. Beside the useful blogging tool, Performancing.com also offers many other free services such as Performancing metrics (helps to track your blogs statistics) and Perfomancing Exchange (exchange posts are for buyers and sellers to post classifieds like content and or ads). I recently heard that Payperpost will acquire Performancing.com, including Performancing Metrics and Performancing Exchange. First of all, I want to congratulate PPP. Second of all, I think PPP and Performancing combine together is a really great idea, even though Performancing.com is a just a small blog advertising website, but it has many users and many great resources to small and large web site owners. With the reputation of Performancing, PPP can earn much more with their successful blog advertising program. Also, I am extremely curious about how PPP will continue to use the Performancing services. As far as I am concerened, I think PPP should not change anything about these services since many blog users are too familiar with them. I personally love the Performancing Metrics because it can help you grade your own blog so that you will know how well and popular your blog is. This service is similar to the Google Pagerank, but more specific since it only deals with blogs. It would be really awesome if some of the opportunities require either Google pagerank or Performancing blog grade. Anyways, I am really grateful for being a member of both PPP and Performancing.

Synopsis:
A Moment to Remember (2005) is a touching and interesting. Story evolves around Su-jin (Song Ye-jin from the Art of Seduction, Lovers Concerto, The Classic) and Chul-soo (Jung Woo Sung). Su-jin is a designer, a forgetful one as well. She meets Chul-soo in a convenient store and love blossoms between them soon after. However, throughout the movie you’ll get the message that something is not right about Su-jin. Yeap, it turns out that she’s suffering from Alzheimer disease (a bit too young for her, right?). Her memory slowly fades away. Chul-soo tries his best to help her but life has to move on. “Do not always feel happy about your life. Life can be cruel and unpredictable”. It’s definitely unbearable to lose a loved one in the helpless fight against such disease (eating your memory away). There’s nothing much can be done but to continue to support them and help them to stay strong. After watching this movie, I really cannot imagine how will I live life on if this “eraser” exists in my brain. Not remembering your family, your friends and even yourself. Well, if it happens, I think I would have forgotten about this issue afterall. So no point worrying now. =) Just cherish and live life everyday as if it’s the last one. Yeah! and also cherish the people around you because you’ll never know when is the last time you’ll be seeing them, in this movie, remembering them.

Giants Spring Training

One of my favorite teams beside the Boston Red Sox is the Giants of San Francisco. This team is considered one of the Giants of the National League West Division. Though the history of this team has its up and down, I still love the effort and the excitement this team brings to the game. No matter how tough their opponents are, they play with a great spirit and an admiring sportsmanship. If you want to know how hard this team practices everyday, I recommend you to buy San Francisco Giants Tickets now when they are still available. One of the historic rivalry of the Giants is the Los Angeles Dodgers, these two teams had played against each other so many times, and each time, they brought to the baseball fans a new meaning of a true game. Unlike the feud between the Red Sox and the Yankees, the Dodgers/Giants rivalry is the oldest, most competitive and most storied in baseball history. Hi, everyone. I hope you all enjoy surfing my blog and watching the movies. I have been really busy dealing with my final examinations and my job, but I still spent a little time to upload and bring to you all of my favorite movies. Now, I am all done with school, but I think I will be even busier since I just have a new job at a bank. The training period will be rough and tiresome, but I think I can handle it. Well, it's Christmas, atleast I am having the best time of my entire year. Soon, new year will come at last and I will be one more year older. I hate getting older, the number keeps getting bigger and bigger. Anyways, I just want to thank to those who supporting me keeping this blog alive and here is my wish for you guys.
